ABOUT US
Hi, my name is Christie Baron and I am the proud owner of “The Dog House.” I have been grooming and training dogs for over 20 years. I started grooming in 1989 at The Continental Shoppe in West Roxbury. I worked very hard for years learning the different haircuts and techniques needed to become a professional groomer. While working there I attended Mount Ida College where I doubled majored in grooming and training. I received an Associate Degree in Canine Sciences in 1993. I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid.
Soon after, I became the Manager of The Continental Shoppe, and went on to compete in grooming competitions, where I became an award winning groomer. I realized that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, so I decided to open my own grooming shop in Needham in 2000. We were so successful that within a few years we out grew the space. In 2007 we moved our store to a much needed larger location in Westwood. This was the perfect opportunity to not only have more space to groom but to also offer doggy daycare, boarding, training and retail.
I am very blessed to have such a great business with wonderful clients and employees. I look forward to many more happy years here at “The Dog House.”
